Banana Oat Pancakes

Sharing is caring!

Simple and easy banana oat pancakes that are quick to make and also toddler and kid-friendly.

These banana oat pancakes are simple and easy to make at home!  I usually do baking with my overripe bananas.  If I don’t make these pancakes with overripe bananas, I make these spinach and banana pancakes or muffins.  It’s a good way to use them up and a healthy natural sweetener.

These banana oat pancakes have no added sugar (except the chocolate chips if you choose to add them in).  They are sweet, moist, and always get eaten up at my house!

If you need an easy pancake recipe that’s gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free, then you should try these pancakes!

You can use any variety of oats you have on hand.  For these healthy oat pancakes, I used old-fashioned rolled oats.

This banana pancake with oats recipe only uses five simple ingredients.  They also take only about 10 minutes to make.

Banana Oatmeal Pancakes Recipe

Mash bananas well in a bowl

Stir in eggs and vanilla

Add oats and stir until combined

Fold in chocolate chips or blueberries (or leave them plain)

Grease a cooking pan well (with cooking spray, butter, or coconut oil) and set it to medium-low heat.

Once the pan is heated, add some batter and cook until it starts to bubble, usually 2-3 min.

Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes.

These oat pancakes will not have the regular consistency of a typical pancake batter.  They tend to fall apart easily when cooking so be careful when flipping the pancakes and make sure to grease your pan well.

Sometimes I add butter and some pure maple syrup to these when I serve these banana oatmeal pancakes to my kids.  They are also good on their own, and make a healthy breakfast or snack for kids and toddlers!

I served this banana oatmeal pancake with sliced mango and blueberries for my toddlers.  These banana oat pancakes are also good for big kids, and adults!  I eat these pancakes for myself!

These banana oat pancakes are a good way to get whole grains and fruit into your toddler or kid’s diet.  If I have any leftovers I store them in the fridge and they eat them cold or heat them up in the microwave for a few seconds.

How To Freeze Pancakes

You can also freeze these pancakes in the freezer.  To freeze the pancakes, lay them out flat on a baking sheet and put in freezer for about half an hour.  Take them out and put them in a ziplock bag with all the air removed.  These will last in the freezer for 3 months.  Put in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds to heat up!
