Sharing is caring!
Since I stay at home with my twins, I make them lunch every day. Sometimes I just heat up leftovers from the night before, but lately, the leftovers are becoming sparse at our house since they are getting bigger and eating more (and we have a family of 7). That’s why these Toddler Lunch Ideas that are quick and healthy come in handy a lot!
It can be exhausting making lunch every day and coming up with new ideas. So sometimes I just like to make our usuals when it comes to lunch with my twins. These ideas are easy, healthy, quick, and they like them. I add in some new food every once in a while because I believe they should always be trying new (real) food. And sometimes it’s surprising what they actually like! Both of my twins love caesar salad…who knew!
Here are ideas I usually feed my twins for lunch for those days when I don’t want to spend a ton of time cooking and need something for them that is quick and healthy.
These ideas are quick, easy, packed full of nutrition, and meals my twins love! See if these ideas would work for your family. You can always sub any fruit or veggie for whatever you have on hand.

I always offer water with lunch and sometimes milk (if they aren’t eating a lof dairy that day or haven’t had much milk that day).
I try to sit down with my toddlers when we eat meals. By using my fork and spoon, wiping my mouth, and not throwing my food everywhere when I am done, is setting an example for them.

We also have good conversations at the table! Talk to your toddler about their day, what’s on their plate and what it tastes like, etc. and they will have manners down in no time! Even if you’re doing most the talking, they are seeing an example of what a positive mealtime looks like.
When they’re done have them put their dish in the sink (my toddlers do this automatically now, I love it). This gives them independence and is a skill they can do all on their own.
Always supervise closely anytime your child is eating and make sure food is cut up small to prevent a choking hazard.
