Easy Toddler Indoor Activities

Sharing is caring!

Are you looking for quick and easy toddler indoor activities that are no prep and fun?

This is a list of my top easy toddler indoor activities. Maybe the weather isn’t so nice out, maybe you want to stay inside – or you’ve been stuck inside, and you need some activities to do before you go stir crazy.

Since I stay at home with my 2-year-old twins, I need some easy ideas to do with them.  These ideas we do quite frequently when we’re playing inside.  I try to do a variety of things so we don’t do the same things all the time.  These are the ideas that have stayed around for months at our house since my toddlers love doing them.

I like to keep them busy doing things so they are stimulated, and so they don’t get bored too often (sometimes I do let them get bored for very short spurts though, so they can figure out what they want to do and use their imagination).  Like last night when they turned their basketball hoop into a vacuum cleaner and “vacuumed” the entire kitchen and living room.

My toddlers are busy boys and are always wanting to do something.  It’s nice to have things around the house that they can do that are easy and fun.

These easy and engaging activities are nice to have on hand – and come out often at our house.  They keep my boys busy, learning, working together, and wears them out, too!

Here are my top 25 Easy, No Prep Toddler Indoor Activities to do at home when they – and you – need something to do.

These ideas are EASY to set up and ENGAGING  – and approved by my twin toddlers (reasons we love to do them).

24.  Let them look through a junk drawer.  My 2-year-olds favorite thing to do at Grandmas.  Just supervise closely and take out dangerous items!

Toddler Scissor Skills

25.  Practice Scissor skills in a fun way.  Have a box with scraps of paper, ribbon, magazines, and other items your toddler can cut.  Start with safety scissors.  One of my 2-year-old has almost mastered cutting by practicing scissors for about 2 months straight.

Sometimes my boys need to get out energy, and sometimes it’s nice to do a calmer activity – so I’ve categorized these activities to fit your toddler’s needs (in no particular order).

I hope this list has given you some ideas for toddler indoor activities that are easy, no prep, and fun.
