Quick Toddler Breakfast Ideas

Sharing is caring!

Looking for quick toddler breakfast ideas?  Here’s what I fed my twin toddlers this week for breakfast.

If you’re a busy mom, parent, or caretaker, I’m sure you need easy food ideas.  It can be exhausting coming up and making food for kids.

I try to not feed too many processed foods or added sugars to my kids.  These toddler breakfast ideas are healthy and quick!

All of these breakfast meal ideas took me under 10 minutes to make (for 3 kids).  Lately, that’s about as long as I want to spend making breakfast on school mornings!

My 2-year-old toddlers and school-aged son ate all of these breakfast ideas.  And they were so quick and simple to make!

Here’s quick toddler breakfast ideas my 2-year-olds and 10- year-old kid ate for the week:

Toddler Breakfast Ideas

  • Oatmeal with almond butter and homemade jam
  • By adding in almond butter it makes my kids fuller longer since it has healthy fat in it.  Plus it tastes so good together!
  • My toddlers stirred this up themselves after it was cooked

I just used instant plain oats and heated up a little scoop of almond butter in the microwave (you could also use the stovetop).  Fresh berries instead of jam would also be really good and would have no added sugar.  You may want to add just a thin layer of almond butter and stir it up well so it doesn’t become a choking risk.

Quick Toddler Breakfast Ideas

  • Whole wheat toast sprinkled with cinnamon and coconut sugar
  • Plain yogurt
  • Fresh sliced blackberries and frozen wild blueberries (I always keep frozen wild blueberries in the freezer in case I’m out of fruit – my kids love them)

I sprinkled just a little bit of coconut sugar on the toast to make it sweet.

Kids Breakfast Ideas

  • Quinoa and brown rick cake (I use this kind of rice cakes because they are so thin and easy to eat) with cream cheese and 2 smashed blackberries (this is so good!)
  • Sliced red grapes (make sure to slice grapes for toddlers and young kids since they are a choking hazard when whole)

Toddler Food Ideas

  • French toast sticks (took me less than 10 minutes to make these)
  • Honey for dipping – make sure your child is over 1 year old if giving honey or sub with pure maple syrup
  • Sliced bananas and freshly sliced blackberries

Toddler Meals

  • Oatmeal with raisins, walnuts, cinnamon, grass-fed butter, and milk
  • I just used plain instant oats and heated it in the microwave with the raisins to soften them – it’s so quick.  Or you can heat on the stovetop you don’t prefer the microwave.
  • I chopped the walnuts very small and fine since whole nuts are a choking risk for toddlers.

Toddler Meal Idea

  • Healthy banana split with almond butter, vanilla yogurt, wild blueberries, and honey
    • Slice a banana in half and spread nut butter on it (I used almond butter).  Top with yogurt and warmed frozen blueberries (or any berries) and drizzle with honey (make sure your child is over 1 year if giving honey) or sub with maple syrup.  Top with ground flax seeds or hemp hearts for extra nutrition. This is so good – my kids and myself love this fun breakfast!
  • Served with a toasted English muffin

Easy Toddler Breakfast Meals

  • Quinoa and rice cake with almond butter and mashed banana.  Normally I would top this with ground flax seeds but I ran out!
  • Served with avocado and sliced banana

Toddler Breakfast Ideas

  • Plain Whole Milk Yogurt sprinkled with ground flax seeds
  • Fresh Blueberries

All of these quick toddler breakfast ideas were easy to make and all of my kids enjoyed them!  I hope your toddler enjoys them, too!

I always try to use the fruits or other foods I have on hand and try to do a variety if I can.

Here are some more easy toddler breakfast ideas we ate in a different week.

I hope this has given you breakfast meal inspiration for your week!
