Not only are these healthy toddler and baby frozen yogurt popsicles delicious, but they are also approved by my twin toddlers.

We have been eating these baby and toddler popsicle recipes a lot this summer.  They are so simple and easy to make!  And healthy, too!

My twins love a nice cold treat when it’s hot outside.  I tell them these frozen yogurt popsicles are a treat (which they are), but really these yogurt pops so healthy and good for them!  One reason I have no problem making these and letting them eat as much as they want of them.

And these frozen yogurt popsicles literally take minutes to make (but longer to freeze, of course).

All you need for these healthy toddler and baby popsicles are fruit and yogurt!  So simple and easy!

I like to use plain whole milk yogurt for this so there is no added sugar but you could use whatever yogurt you have.  Coconut milk yogurt would work if your child doesn’t eat dairy.

Yogurt naturally has probiotics and is good for your gut!  It also has lots of protein and is filling.

The fruit added into these yogurt pops makes them even more nutritious with extra vitamins and nutrients.  Plus my toddlers love the added sweetness and flavor- and I’m sure your child will love it, too!

My twins also love these yogurt pops with just yogurt and no fruit.  Which is an even easier way to make these.  Just add yogurt to a popsicle mold like this, and freeze!  Instant (somewhat instant- since you have to freeze) yummy treat.

How to make the healthy toddler and baby frozen yogurt popsicle recipe:

  • Put in a 2-3 heaping scoops of plain whole milk yogurt into a blender (babies can start eating whole milk yogurt around 7-8 months – but always ask your pediatrician first).
  • Add in your fruit of choice (about 1/4 cup).  Use fresh or thawed fruit, not frozen fruit for this, otherwise, it will not blend well.  You can thaw frozen fruit quickly in the microwave.
  • Blend until smooth then pour into a popsicle tray.  Put in freezer until set.  It took my popsicles about 3-4 hours to set.  If you have leftover that doesn’t fit into the tray then your child can have it for a smoothie (or you can drink it for a smoothie!).
  • Use more yogurt and fruit if you have a larger popsicle tray.  Mine are pretty small but a good size for toddlers.

Recipes for the frozen yogurt popsicles:

  • Mango Pop – I added in a small handful of (about 1/4 cup) mango and 2 scoops of yogurt and blended until smooth
  •  Strawberry Pop – I added in 4 med-large Fresh strawberries and 2 scoops of plain yogurt and blended
  •  Blueberry Pop-  I added in about 10-15 blueberries with 2 scoops yogurt and blended until smooth
  •  Marionberry Pop – I added in 5 marionberries (blackberries would also work well and you can easily get those frozen) with 2 scoops yogurt and blended
  • I used this blender for my yogurt pops (and all my other smoothies).  It works very well to blend to extract maximum nutrients and it’s so easy to clean!

You can make in bigger batches if you have larger popsicle trays or have more than one tray.

For these frozen yogurt pops, it’s important to use fresh or thawed fruit – do not use frozen fruit.  Otherwise, it won’t blend well with the yogurt since there is no added liquid unless you have a high-power blender.  I did not add in other liquid when I blended so it would have a rich taste of the fruit.

My toddlers absolutely loved these frozen yogurt pops.  It seemed like they were at a candy shop when they got to choose what flavor they would have.  Except I knew they were eating something so good and healthy for them (and filling, too!).

Of course, making a bunch of flavors at once is a little more work, and one flavor might be more doable.   Make the flavor that your baby toddler likes or what you have on hand.  I only used the fruits I had in the refrigerator or freezer.

These toddler and baby frozen yogurt pops were a perfect snack for my twins. Lately, my toddlers have been smearing their yogurt everywhere when they have it for a snack.  So having yogurt in a popsicle was perfect for them.  When they want to smear their yogurt, we do this activity.  They love it!

Frozen Yogurt popsicles are so nice it when it’s warm outside and when you need to cool off with a yummy, healthy treat.  It’s also great for teething toddlers and babies!

My twins’ favorite flavors were strawberry and mango.  I hope your baby or toddler enjoys these yogurt pops as much as mine do!
