Sharing is caring!

Looking for easy dinner toddler food ideas?  Here’s what my two-year-old twins ate for dinner.

These dinner toddler food ideas are simple, easy and don’t take a lot of time to prepare.  They are also dinners that the whole family can eat – or use these for lunch ideas!

My 2-year-old twins keep me so busy and demand all of my attention, so I need my meals to be simple and easy – but healthy and nutritious, too!

I hope these toddler food ideas will give you inspiration for your toddler meals!

Here are some dinner toddler food ideas my twin toddlers ate over the last couple of weeks that were easy and simple:

Easy Diner For Toddler

  • Black bean pasta with butter and parmesan cheese
  • Sliced cucumbers
  • Steamed (frozen) broccoli

Black bean pasta tastes exactly like black beans (which it is just black bean flour) to me so I prefer to usually just eat beans over the pasta, but my twins like the pasta with butter and parmesan.

Toddler Dinner Recipes

  • Sweet Potato and cucumber
  • Tuna salad – just tuna with mayonnaise
  • Whole wheat crackers

My toddlers made their own little sandwiches with these.  An easy no-cook idea!

Easy Kid Meals

  • Sweet Potato
  • Turkey Breast (these are quicker to cook than a whole turkey and you can just put in the crockpot in the morning)
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • 1/2 roll

Toddler Food

  • Organic canned chicken noodle soup (low sodium).  I usually buy Annie’s organic soup for my boys just because they seem to really like it.
  • Organic whole-grain cracker

Canned soup is an easy toddler food for days when you really don’t want to cook but still give healthy and nutritious food.  I always try to keep organic low sodium soup in the cabinet for days when I need something quick and easy for the twins- and myself!

Easy Dinner For Toddlers

  • Canned Peas
  • Roasted Sweet Potato (poke holes and roast in the oven for about 40 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit or until soft). Or put in the crockpot with the roast.
  • Pork Roast
  • Organic whole wheat bread with butter

The roast and sweet potato I put in the crockpot in the morning and was ready that night.  I heated up a can of peas and put butter on bread – quick and easy toddler (and whole family) food idea!

Toddler Dinners Meals

  • Zucchini Spirals with butter (I bought these in the frozen veggie section.  I bought pre-cut zucchini spirals so it was quick to heat up).
  • Whole-wheat crackers
  • Rotisserie Chicken (Pre-cooked and already heated up from the grocery store).

Toddler Food Idea

  • Quesadilla with refried beans (canned), mozzarella cheese,  and avocado.
  • Spread refried beans on a tortilla and add shredded cheese.  Heat in microwave for about 30 seconds.  Add in 1/2 avocado mashed up.
  • Served with steamed broccoli – This was frozen broccoli so it was already chopped for added convenience.  My twins always eat broccoli first out of anything on their plate, lately.

Kid Meals

  • Kale Gnocchi (from Trader Joe’s in the frozen section) – These just have kale, potato starch, chickpea flour, sea salt and extra virgin olive oil for the ingredients.
    •  I put butter on them and my twins tried these.  They weren’t their favorite but I really like them so I thought I would start offering them more often to them.
  • Chicken drumsticks cut up small
  • Fresh Blueberries

The Kale gnocchi and drumsticks I put in our air fryer (affiliate link).  It’s quick and gives food a nice crisp texture and makes fewer dishes to clean up!

Toddler Dinners

  • Waffle Sandwich with egg, deli turkey, and a cheddar cheese slice on a whole grain waffle
  • Fresh Blackberries

We love having breakfast for dinner every once in a while!

Toddler Dinners

  • Fish Sticks (these are Earth’s Best brand)
  • Corn (frozen)
  • I baked this all on one sheet in the oven so it was quick and easy (this was a busy night with sports activities for us so I really needed something easy- plus I tried using what we had in the freezer up)

Toddler dinner ideas

  • Grass-fed burger on an organic bun
  • Roasted squash, carrots, and brussels sprouts
  • I roasted all of the vegetables together on one pan with avocado oil and pink Himalayan salt on 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 mins.

These dinner toddler meal ideas are easy to make and low prep, but also nutritious.
