Toddler Breakfast Ideas

Sharing is caring!

Here are some no-cook toddler breakfast ideas for the week.

I didn’t cook breakfast at all this week.  We just did quick and easy breakfasts.  I was not in the cooking mood this week but still wanted to give my kids healthy and nutritious meals.  That’s why I made these no-cook toddler breakfast ideas!

These toddler breakfast ideas all took me under 10 mintues to make!

If you’re in a rush or just want a break from cooking, and want something other than cereal or plain toast, try some of these ideas!  Sub with whatever fruit or nut butters you have.

If your child doesn’t eat dairy you could sub the yogurt for coconut milk yogurt or almond milk yogurt or another kind they can eat, same with the peanut butter.  And none of these recipes use eggs.

Here are some quick and easy no-cook toddler breakfast ideas for the week:

Toddler Meal Ideas

  • Whole Wheat English Muffin
  • Organic Valencia Peanut Butter (can sub with almond butter or another nut butter, or sunflower butter)
  • Topped with smashed banana – just smash with a fork
  • Side of quartered red grapes (make sure to not give whole grapes to young children because of a choking hazard)

Healthy Toddler Meals

  • Berry Smoothie Bowl
    • I used a small handful of frozen berry mix (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries- great for antioxidants), 2 scoops plain whole milk yogurt, a small handful of frozen avocado or use 1/2 fresh avocado, 1/2 teaspoon sunflower butter, and a little bit of water.  Blend until smooth.  I make these a little thicker since they eat it with a spoon.  I use this blender for all my smoothies and it works great.
  • Topped with unsweetened coconut chips, raw and unsalted sunflower seeds, and frozen wild blueberries (wild blueberries are much smaller than regular blueberries) –  only give sunflower seeds to toddlers who are chewing solids well

Toddler Breakfast Ideas

  • Organic whole wheat bread (toasted)
  • Topped with organic Valencia peanut butter, thinly sliced pears, and sprinkled with cinnamon

  • Topped with thin-sliced apples, granola, cinnamon, and raw honey (make sure your child is over 1-year if giving any honey – it’s usually in granola, too)

Healthy Toddler Meals

  • Whole wheat toasted English muffin with butter
  • Strawberry yogurt with sliced banana

Healthy Meals for Kids

  • Plain instant oatmeal with sliced almonds, and chopped dates, with a little butter and milk
  • Sliced strawberries

Toddler Meals

  • Organic Whole Grain Toast with cream cheese and sliced strawberries
  • I used thinly sliced bread for this toast, which is easier for my toddlers to eat.

Healthy Toddler Breakfast Recipes

  • Frozen Whole Wheat Organic Mini Pancakes (we use Earth’s Best brand and has Elmo on the box so the twins love them)
  • Unsweetened applesauce
  • Plain whole milk yogurt with sliced banana

Toddlers Food

  • Almond butter and banana waffle sandwich – with honey (make sure your child is over 1 year if giving honey – you could just leave a sweetener out or sub with pure maple syrup).
  • Toast the waffle like normal and spread a thin layer of almond butter on both sides of the waffle (or sunflower butter, peanut butter, cashew butter – whatever you prefer!).
  • Add thinly sliced bananas and a drizzle of pure maple syrup and smash together.

Here are some more toddler and kid-friendly waffle sandwich ideas.

Toddler Breakfast Idea

  • Strawberry and Cauliflower Smoothie
    • 1/2 cup frozen or fresh strawberries (about a handful), 4 steamed cauliflower florets (leftover from dinner), 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup liquid (milk of choice or water)
    • Blend until smooth.  I pour these for smoothies or make them into popsicles for my toddlers.  Here are more toddler vegetable breakfast ideas

toddler breakfast ideas

  • Almond butter and homemade jam sandwich on whole wheat bread
  • Plain whole milk yogurt sprinkled with ground flax seeds
  • Snap peas

These toddler breakfasts ideas were all quick and easy to make!

All of these ideas can be for the whole family and not just toddlers!  I ate all these breakfast ideas myself and so did my 10-year-old.

I like to serve my toddler meals with healthy fats, carbs, and protein.  The main fats I use in my breakfast meals are grass-fed butter, avocados, nut butters, and whole milk.  I do use a lot of olive oil and avocado oil in my other meals for them.  Healthy fats are so good for your toddler’s developing brain.

I hope these toddler breakfast meal ideas have given you inspiration for your meals!
