Easter Activities for Toddlers

Sharing is caring!

Looking for easy and simple Easter activities for toddlers or kids?

These Easter activities for toddlers are easy traditions to start and things you can do every year with your child.

Here are low prep Easter activities that will help create lasting memories for you and your family!

Kids Easter Activities

Easy Easter activities for toddlers and kids:

  • Egg hunt (indoors or outdoors)

    • Give kids a certain color to find that way everyone gets eggs.
    • This is good if there’s a wide age range in kids.
  • Lay out carrots for bunny the night before

    • We put carrots by the Easter baskets with a note to the Easter bunny the night before Easter.
    • The kids usually write to the bunny what they want for Easter.  For younger kids, you could have them dictate to you and you write it for them.  Great way to get extra literacy in!
  • Bunny tracks or grass trail to easter baskets

    • This is good evidence the Easter bunny came to your house and so much fun for the kids!
  • Dye eggs/decorate hard-boiled eggs

    • You could also paint eggs or color on them with crayons.
    • To dye eggs mix 1/2 cup hot/boiling water with 1 teaspoon white vinegar and 10-15 drops food coloring or use a dye kit
    • Make sure water is cooled before kids color eggs.

Kids Easter Traditons

  • Plant seeds or a garden

    • Have the kids help plant the seeds and water them daily.
  • Make Easter breakfast

    • I like to make bunny pancakes for Easter morning for my kids.
  • Make easter cupcakes or cookies.  Let your kids frost and decorate them.

  • Get pictures with the Easter bunny in spring outfits (maybe do this one next year).  Just have the kids dressed up and get a picture outdoors!

  • Easter sensory bins

  • Do an Easter craft

    • There are so many Easter crafts on Pinterest.  This dot sticker Easter Egg was perfect for my 2 year olds!
    • I just drew an Easter egg on construction paper and gave them dot stickers to decorate it.

Kids Easter Activity

  • Do an Easter countdown with a chain

    • This is a good visual for younger kids and gets them anticipating Easter!
  • Easter Brunch

    • I like to make a ham and fun Easter treats for a brunch with my family on Easter.

I hope this list has given you ideas to make Easter memories with your kids!

These Easter traditions will create lasting memories for kids.

Some years we only do a few things on this list and sometimes we do them all!

Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind me asking what theme you’re using?
(and don’t mind if I steal it? :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the theme slows (!) the site
    down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during the
    coronavirus scare!
