Toddler Lunch Tortilla Wraps

  • Refried beans (canned) and cheese
  • Spread a thin layer of refried beans on the entire tortilla then add cheddar cheese (I added 2 cheese slices but you could also do shredded cheese)
  • Microwave for about 20-30 seconds
  • Served with sliced cucumbers

Toddler Lunch Ideas

  • Organic Valencia peanut butter and banana
  • I spread a thin layer of peanut butter over the whole tortilla and put in a whole banana
  • Slice the banana very thin if giving to a younger toddler or a toddler not accustomed to chewing solids well since it could pose a choking hazard
  • Slice these thin (about 1/4 inch)
  • Served with frozen wild blueberries (wild blueberries are much smaller than regular blueberries)

Tortilla Wrap Toddler Lunch Ideas

  • Yogurt with wild blueberries
  • I spread plain whole milk yogurt (you can use any kind of yogurt – coconut, almond, etc. if your child doesn’t eat dairy) over the entire tortilla and thawed frozen wild blueberries in the microwave and put them on the yogurt.
  • Served with wild blueberries (I buy mine frozen from Trader Joe’s)

Tips for making tortilla wraps for toddlers:

  • Spread it thinly (whatever topping is “spreadable”)
  • I didn’t roll my tortillas too tight, but tight enough so they would stay together
  • Use any kind of tortilla but a kind your kid will eat or what you normally buy.
  • I used whole wheat chia and flax seed tortillas for these.  My kids do prefer regular flour tortillas and the whole wheat chia wasn’t a huge hit with them.
  • Cut the tortillas so they’re bite-size or just cut it in half

These tortilla wraps are perfect for toddler lunch ideas or snacks when you need something quick!  I use this container for most of my to-go snacks and lunches to make packing easy.  I hope these easy tortilla wraps gives you inspiration for your toddler meals!
