Easy Toddler Breakfast Ideas

Sharing is caring!

Do you need some easy toddler breakfast ideas?  I’m always trying to think of ways to make breakfast a little more exciting so we don’t always eat the same thing.

I think breakfast is so important for everybody, not just toddlers.  It really does give us the energy we need.  That’s why I love these easy toddler breakfast ideas.   I need things that my boys will eat and that I can make in a hurry.

Lately, my boys haven’t been big breakfast eaters.  They seem to want brunch, instead of breakfast.

So I’ve been trying to make breakfast a little more fun and offering it just a little bit later than I normally would.  That way they want to eat what is on the plate!

All kids go through their phases of how much they will eat.  Usually, I start with a smaller amount of food on the plate and always add more if they are still hungry.  This way they eat everything on the plate and not pick and choose what they want.  Otherwise, they probably would just fill up with blueberries for breakfast.  Which they do that sometimes.

All of these breakfast ideas were so simple to make and didn’t take much time at all!

Here are my easy toddler breakfast ideas that my twins ate this week.  I hope this list brings you inspiration for your toddler breakfast ideas!

easy toddler breakfast ideas

  • Mini Pancake Puffs
  • Green Grapes
  • Homemade popsicle with plain whole milk yogurt.  I like to use plain yogurt since there’s no added sugar.  Just put in yogurt (or smoothie) in a popsicle tray the night before and it will be ready in the morning.
  • My kids love having these healthy popsicles for breakfast once in a while!

meal ideas toddlers

  • Mini Pancake Puffs
  • Grass Fed-Sausage (this was a little too spicy for them)
  • Frozen Wild Blueberries and Sliced Strawberries (I usually buy Trader Joe’s Frozen Organic Wild Blueberries because they are so tiny)

All of these meals were fast to make.

The scrambled eggs took the longest, but everything else was quick.  Breakfast can be quick and easy with a lot of different options.

I try to use what I have for the week.  For example, I tried to use my fresh strawberries and yogurt for several meals for breakfast because that’s what we had.  I tried to just switch up the meals so they were eating it in a different way, but we could also use up what we had.

My boys definitely liked the frozen yogurt popsicle the best out of all of these.  It was a fun way to eat breakfast!  Just make sure to make it the night before so it can freeze.

You can always add in a smoothie for your toddler to add in some extra nutrition and make the meal even more filling.  We love this avocado and mango smoothie.

I always offer some milk or sometimes water with breakfast.
