3 Ingredient Banana Pancakes

Sharing is caring!

These easy 3 ingredient banana pancakes are grain free and dairy free.  They’re simple to make and taste good!

I’ve been making these 3 ingredient banana pancakes since my oldest (10-year-old) was about 18 months old.  This recipe never gets old!

This is an easy go-to breakfast recipe when we have overripe bananas in the house that need to get used up.

These 3 ingredient pancakes are quick to make and I usually have all the ingredients (since there’s only 3 ingredients!).

2 ingredient pancakes

These pancakes can easily be made into 2 ingredient pancakes by using just using eggs and a banana.

I always add in frozen blueberries to these because I have them on hand and it adds more flavor and nutrition.

Ingredients for the pancakes:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 very ripe banana
  • A small handful of blueberries (frozen or fresh – I use frozen wild blueberries) – optional

Instructions:

  • Smash banana well in a bowl then add the 2 eggs and mix well with a whisk or fork.  Fold in blueberries (no need to thaw frozen blueberries)
  • Turn the stove onto medium heat (heat up completely)
  • Add butter or coconut oil to the pan (non-stick pans works best or cast iron)
  • Pour batter into the heated pan (however large you want the pancake)
  • Cook 1-2 minutes  or when the sides start to get firm
  • Flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes or until eggs are cooked fully
  • Cool and enjoy!  Make a double batch for a larger family or if you want leftovers.

Baby led weaning and toddler pancake recipe

Eat plain or top with butter and maple syrup, jam, berries, or honey (no honey under 1 year).

You could also add in chocolate chips instead of blueberries – that’s really good, too!

These pancakes are great for baby-led weaning since they are very soft and only have banana, egg, and blueberries in them.  Ask your baby’s pediatrician when you can start giving your baby eggs.

You can store these banana pancakes in the fridge if you make extra and heat up for a quick meal or snack.
